The Montreal Review of Books launches its Spring 2023 issue on Thursday, March 16th, at Hotel 10 (10 Sherbrooke Street West) in partnership with the Blue Metropolis International Literary Festival, in celebration of its 25th anniversary.
Following the festival’s 2023 programming announcement, join us in the Espace Godin for refreshments and readings by Tanya Standish McIntyre (The House You Were Born In, MQUP), Tracey Lindeman (BLEED, ECW) and Gabrielle Boulianne-Tremblay with translator Eli Tareq El Bechelany-Lynch (Dandelion Daughter, Véhicule). We’re thrilled to mark this milestone year with Blue Metropolis, a longstanding partner in Montreal’s literary community, on the occasion of their 25th anniversary.
Doors open at 4:00 p.m., with the Blue Metropolis press conference beginning at 4:30 p.m., followed by a wine reception at 5:15 p.m., and mRb readings beginning at 6:00. The authors will be available to sign books after the readings. Admission is free.
For those unable to attend in person, readings will be live-streamed on our YouTube page.
Hope to see you there!
I have read Tanya Standish McIntyre’s book of poems, or better said, a narrative in poetic form. It is really a most remarkable and moving experience. A simply beautiful use of language to do what only few poets can do…distill deep feeling in a phrase, a word image, a pause. This is one of the best first collections i have ever encountered.
