What’s The Matter With Albert? A Story Of Albert Einstein
Frieda Wishinsky

Maple Tree Press

Albert Einstein was an unattractive baby, slow to talk, a temperamental child, and a daydreaming student. Nothing was wrong with him, but these things made people wonder. Frieda Wishinsky tells the story of the famous scientist’s life, from his childhood to his adult achievements, through a fictitious character named Billy Whitestone. Billy interviews and conducts research on Einstein for the school newspaper. In this creative non-fiction work, the responses to Billy’s four questions are in Einstein’s words. The rest of the story, based on the facts of Einstein’s life, are in the author’s words. Illustrator Jacques Lamontagne bases his likeness of the adult Einstein on archival photographs. mRb
